This post, for example, was published to&lt;br&gt;FriendFeed using the PUB-SUP protocol that FriendFeed invented, enabling my&lt;br&gt;blog to, when I hit publish, publish immediately out to FriendFeed.  So it&#039;s&lt;br&gt;up to the content providers themselves as to whether they want to publish&lt;br&gt;true real-time or not.  This blog does.</description>
